Many thanks to Alisa Dixon, the story teller, who created the evocative interpretation of the ships apprentice, Andy?s logbook that was written at the time of the First World War. Andy was a young teenager at the time who described the mundane, as well as, the extraordinary happenings of life on board the sailing ship, the Glenlee. Our group of friends were given a very finely interpreted performance of arguments on board ship and Andy?s description of a violent, highly dangerous storm at sea! We needed the tea/coffee and delicious cakes served to us in the the ship?s cafe, to steady our nerves and tummies! Thanks also to Lauren Henning, Education Officer and all the members of staff who made our visit so enjoyable.ÿ
