40 Friends and their guests were given a conducted tour of the Hunterian Art Gallery’s current temporary exhibition, Stage and Screen, on Monday 19th February. The curator of the exhibition, Joseph Sharples, introduced the group to the collection and it’s collector, James L Gordon. Over 400 items were on display and Joseph picked out the highlights and gave us detailed and facinating information about them. The exhibition is a spectacular feast of costume and stage design covering a period from the beginning of the 20th Century to the present day. A must-see exhibition for all lovers of the live theatre and film! Our thanks to Joseph and all the staff at the Hunterian Art Gallery for making our visit such a success and looking after us so well.
