Join Us for our first Online Lecture for 2024 on Tuesday 30th January at 2pm! Carolyn Foran will give a presentation on the Glasgow Museums Annual Art Competition

Glasgow Museums Annual Art Competition for Children was first established in 1904 and continues to this day, supported by the Friends of Glasgow Museums. During his tenure as Director of Museums at Glasgow Corporation, FoGM Founder Dr Tom Honeyman introduced a visionary model of participation and engagement, inspiring and encouraging many generations of school pupils to connect with the collections of the Galleries and Museums of Glasgow, nurturing many future artists in the process. In recognition of our long association with this important and much-loved competition, organiser Carolyn Foran will present a fascinating talk on the history and running of the competition from 1904 to the present day. Carolyn Foran is Education Officer for Glasgow Museums.
